Child Support

The Texas legislature has enacted certain guidelines the courts are obligated to use when they set child support amounts. These guidelines are in place to provide at least the minimum amount to the custodial parent from the non-custodial parent for the support of the child. Child support is established in a divorce, modification, or paternity action.
